'The Wishing Tree' was made for 'Detour', a site-specific one day event in Leigh Woods, Bristol in the summer of 2003.

I came out of the magical feeling of the woods and the tradition of leaving messages and wishes in trees (as well as of decorating trees). The tree used stands in a clearing. The tree was decorated and music played from a hidden speaker.

Visitors were invited to write their wishes and attach them to the tree.
